About Us
Omya UK chemicals started making rubber chemical dispersions nearly 30 years ago based on technology from Wrough and Loser of the USA. Today our rubber chemical predispersions are sold around the world under the Multisperse tradename – a global brand associated with product quality, consistency and safety.
From these beginnings we have expanded our operations and now offer a range of complementary calcium and magnesium oxide products, calcium hydroxide, as well as a variety of customised products and services including powder blending, repacking and sacheting.
High quality products for the plastics and rubber industries
All Omya UK chemical products are made at our Humber plant, a dedicated facility based near Hull, UK. Key product lines include:
- Caloxol® – Calcium oxide desiccants for the rubber and plastics industries
- Fluorox® – Fine calcium hydroxide powder
- Garolite® – High activity magnesium oxides
- Multisperse® – Extensive range of rubber chemical predispersions
- Toll Services – Powder/liquid blending, repacking, sacheting
Research and development is supported by the Omya UK’s Technical Centre which is also based in Hull.
Humber plant accreditations
All our manufacturing processes are monitored and tightly controlled.
The Humber plant has the following quality and environmental accreditations:
Quality: BS EN ISO 9001: 2000
Environmental: BS EN ISO 14001: 1996
The site has been successfully and repeatedly audited and certified. Safety and environmental protection are key factors in the development of our production processes.
Humber is also a COMAH registered site and is therefore fully equipped to handle, store and process a wide range of chemical raw materials.
